Canopy Bolts
- thread is 6mm x 1.0
- fasteners clipped to the body are called 'extruded u nuts' or 'fold over
nuts'
- Geno makes the u nuts. The part number is 8-12575 (2 pak).
- Regular 6mm x 1.0 bolts will work fine.
All but the back pair (welded in) can be replaced with heavy
duty 1/4 inch fasteners

Seats
Corbeau "corbo"
These are nice seats and are harness compatible. The reclining ones are really made for street cars that need fancy color combinations. They look better in magazines than they do in real life and are ridiculously overpriced. They do feel nice to sit in, especially after developing back problems from driving in your sunken in stockers.
VX2000
The back is plastic and sides are vinyl - making it more durable and water resistant than other Corbeau seats. The center fabric is also more durable than the cheap felt used in other Corbeau seats.
This model doesn't hug the body as well as other Corbeau models, nor does it have an easily assessable back for mounting an adjustable lumbar support. The back already has a lumbar support in it and it is big enough to fit larger people.
For esthetics, there is a simulated carbon fiber option. The pretty sticker on the back of the seat will come off with its first exposure to sun, revealing a rough scuff mark. The Carbeau patch on the front of the seat is easily removable if you don't care for name tags.
Anti-submarine slots can be added to any of Carbeau's seats for $25 a seat ($20 dealer price). Corbeau asks $45 to put them in the VX2000 since it has a metal suspension in the seat bottom - and like all things - this is negotiable, flexible and differs depending on who you talk to (I paid $20).
The Legacy fits nicely to my back, head and sides, but needs a lumbar support added and seat covers for weather resistance.

D855NS fits on the factory slider and causes the passenger seat to ride higher if you use the D950T for the driver's side.
D951T is the same size as the drivers side and has a slider built into it.
Building and adapter plate for the stock brackets shouldn't be that hard to do.
The new brackets are clean, simple and black. The stock Ford brackets lock on both sliders, while the Carbeau ones lock only on one of the sliders. What you lose with the Carbeau is the ability to fold and slide the seat forward by depressing a single lever. You can still slide and fold the seats, but will need to use the lever under the seat and the one on the back corner or your seats.

Cracks near my rain gutters
Ford issued Technical Service Bulletin 951409A on this topic, dated 7/17/95. There is a repair kit that can solve this problem, part number F5TZ-9850223-A. This problem is reported to be eligible for warranty repair on 92-95 Broncos.
